Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Mt Paektu, a holy mountain of the Korean revolution and a world-famous mountain, is now covered with snow, presenting a spectacular sight.

Sublime and beautiful are such scenes as snow-covered thick forests, blizzard, fantastic rocks and cliffs of the mountain covered with snow, mysterious frozen falls, sea of snow on Lake Chon and frostworks at a spa.

In particular, all the peaks and forests around the Paektusan Secret Camp are covered with snow in February and frostworks form a distinctive feature of the scene around the Sobaeksu stream, adding beauty to landscape.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who was born at the Paektusan Secret Camp, liked snow scene of Mt Paektu very much.

When visiting his birthplace in August Juche 77 (1988), he told officials imploring him to have a photo taken against his native home that having a photo taken in winter is much better and more significant than doing in summer.
